Released on 2 October 1995, six weeks after Blur had beaten Oasis in the singles chart, Morning Glory sold 345,000 copies in its first week, spent ten weeks at number one and became the UK's best-selling album of the 1990s. It gave Oasis "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger", and their breakthrough in the US.
