  • Obituary

John and Donald Tardy started the band that became Obituary in 1984, first calling it Executioner and then Xecutioner, playing out of Seffner before the world ever heard of Tampa death metal.

  • Deicide

Drummer Steve Asheim and the Hoffman brothers formed the band in 1987 under the name Amon before it became Deicide, and it was frontman Glen Benton who turned the band into a genuine spectacle.
