Artists from Queens

  • Run-DMC

Coming out of Queens, Run-DMC defined new-school hip-hop in the mid-1980s with production that was aggressive and stripped down, a hard break from the disco and funk arrangements of the Bronx pioneers who came before them.

  • Ramones

    Forest Hills, Queens, 1974.
