Eddie Argos's band played their first gig in May 2003 at the Verge in Kentish Town and were soon associated with the New Cross scene: "Formed a Band" appeared on Angular's New Cross sampler that November, and Rough Trade released it as a one-off single in 2004. NME grouped them in an "Art Wave" with the Rakes, Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party.
