Television Personalities
Dan Treacy formed the Television Personalities in London in 1977 after hearing the Sex Pistols; their first single, "14th Floor", came out in January 1978, and "Part Time Punks" became a John Peel favorite. They never sold many records, but they are credited with a wide influence on the C86 generation and with inspiring Alan McGee to start Creation.
