Artist
Jamie Principle
Recorded 'Your Love' in his basement in 1982 to reel-to-reel tape. His friend Jose 'Louie' Gomez took the tape to Frankie Knuckles at the local record pool, I.R.S. Knuckles played that dub mix for an entire year at the Warehouse and Power Plant before it was released on vinyl. Collaborated with Knuckles on multiple early house classics including 'Baby Wants to Ride.' His minimal, hypnotic vocal style—repeating phrases over sparse production—became a template for house vocals. Still active as a producer and vocalist.
