Drab Majesty
Los Angeles' Drab Majesty, active since 2011, folds new age textures and indie rock instincts into a darkwave frame, part of the same 2010s revival that produced Boy Harsher and reintroduced the genre to festival stages. Visual performance and conceptual staging run through the project's live shows, extending darkwave's old theatrical streak into territory the genre's 1980s originators never quite reached.
