Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius created ambient, minimalist electronic music, often in collaboration with Brian Eno. Part of the '68 generation who were "a lot of the times on the streets instead of studying," as Moebius explained. Their stripped-down approach to electronic sound influenced ambient and new-age music, focusing on texture and space over rhythm and melody.
