Artist
Bombino
Bombino was born in Tidene, a Tuareg encampment northeast of Agadez in Niger, and spent part of his youth in exile in Algeria and Libya after the 1990 Tuareg rebellion before returning to Agadez in 1997. Working in the same desert guitar tradition that produced Tinariwen, he has become, alongside Mdou Moctar, one of the best-known Tuareg guitarists on international stages.
