Talulah Gosh

1986-1988·Oxford

Talulah Gosh formed in Oxford in 1986, after Amelia Fletcher and Elizabeth Price met at a club, both wearing Pastels badges; they took their name from an NME headline about Clare Grogan. Their first two singles, "Beatnik Boy" and "Steaming Train", came out together on 53rd & 3rd and were unashamedly cutesy, and their look got them labeled an "anorak indie" band.
