Kev Roberts

1973-present·Nottinghamshire

Kev Roberts bought his first records from Brian Selby and John Bratton at Syd Booth's, a large independent shop in Mansfield; the two later left to open Selectadisc in Nottingham, where Roberts dug through the soul cellar's cheap boxes. He went to his first all-nighter in 1972, at 15, and then became a regular dancer at the Golden Torch in Tunstall.
