Edwin Starr
Edwin Starr, born Charles Edwin Hatcher in Nashville in 1942, made his name in Detroit on Ric-Tic with "Agent Double-O-Soul" (1965), "Stop Her on Sight (S.O.S.)" and "Headline News", records that became Northern soul favorites; "Stop Her on Sight" reached No 11 when it was reissued in Britain in 1968.
